Land of the Thunder Dragon

Can you hear the whisper on the wind as prayer flags wave in the breeze? A whisper of peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. Throughout the Kingdom of Bhutan, prayer flags adorn the mountains, the valleys and everything in between. The different colors are linked to different elements and it is no wonder that the top of mountains so often have white flags, symbolizing the air and wind. Bhutan is a largely Buddhist county and I learned much traveling with my Buddhist friends throughout this beautiful country. I hope to return in this lifetime.
